In the days before Islam the Arabs would perceive the month of Safar as a month of evil omens. They would say whoever marries in it will not have children or whoever trades in it will make a loss or whoever travels in it will not be successful.
The arrival of our esteemed Prophet ﷺ demonstrated to us that this assertion was false.;
Abu Hurairah said that Allah’s Messenger ﷺ said, ‘There is no (independently) transmissible (disease), no Safar and no Haamah.’ (Sahih al-Bukhari, 5717).Safar is a month filled with positivity and hope. It marks the time when the Prophet ﷺ married The Mother of the Beleivers Khadija AS, the first military expedition of the Muslims was launched, and the Prophet ﷺ also united his cherished daughter Fatimah AS with Sayyiduna Ali RA during this month. It is essential that we share our optimism with those whose hope has diminished due to the harsh economic challenges brought on by hunger and famine, exacerbated by foreign aid sanctions. Now more than ever, it is vital to offer support and deliver emergency essentials to the affected communities. We encourage you to take action and make a contribution today. Rafah International guarantees that every penny of your donation will go directly to helping those in need.
Don’t wait—donate now and create a positive impact. You can contribute as little as £1 daily during this important month.
